Area A Economic Development Commission (EDC)
Area A Economic Development Commission (EDC) Meetings
Area A Economic Development Commission (EDC) meetings are open to the public and are held from 2pm to 4:30pm at Boswell Hall every first Tuesday of the month from October through June.
Area A EDC catchment area extends from the village of Riondel, in the north, to the hamlet of Wynndel, in the south. This area is also known as Wynndel East Shore.
Area A EDC is funded and authorized by the RDCK to carry out specific board work and to be an advisory body to the RDCK.
There are 12 member seats on the commission with lots of room for "working groups". EDC presently has openings for more board members. The EDC can be most effective with a full board. For more information and to learn more about becoming a board member, please contact Chairperson Debby Johnson at 250-866-5657 or Director Garry Jackman at 250-223-8463.
Our EDC is a mechanism to bring out the creativity, intelligence and resources within our community, so that together as a community we can find solutions and act on opportunities.
