Crawford Bay and Boswell Transfer Station Resume Regular Summer Hours

Nelson, BC:  Effective Tuesday June 30, 2020, both the Crawford Bay Transfer Station and the Boswell Transfer Station will resume regular summer hours.

Crawford Bay Transfer Station (16798 Crawford Creek Road)

Boswell Transfer Station (12575 Hepher Road)

The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) was forced to close the Crawford Bay Transfer Station June 1, 2020 due to the recent flooding event that washed out the road, making it inaccessible to the public. To accommodate residents, hours at the Boswell Transfer Station were temporarily extended. Boswell will now return to its regular operating hours. The RDCK would like to thank residents for their patience during this time.

While the Crawford Bay Transfer Station will start taking waste on Tuesday June 30, 2020, the recycling depot will remain closed until July 5. The RDCK is currently in the process of transitioning to Recycle BC Depots. For complete details on the Recycle BC transition and launch dates for all RDCK facilities click here.

Incorporated in 1965, the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is a local government that serves 60,000 residents in 11 electoral areas and nine member municipalities.
