Stage 1 Water Conservation Measures now in effect for Riondel and South Slocan Water Systems

Nelson, BC:  Effective immediately, Stage 2 Water Conservation Measures have been downgraded to Stage 1 for the Riondel and South Slocan Water Systems. Cooler weather and precipitation has lessened water demand, and reservoir levels in all systems have stabilized.

Stage 1 Water Conservation Measures include:

  • Watering of lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs is ONLY permitted between 7:00pm-10:00am.
  • Watering of gardens, trees and shrubs by watering can or hand-held hose is permitted anytime.

The Regional District appreciates water users’ cooperation in adhering to the above water conservation measures. Stage 1 Water Conservation Measures will remain in effect until September 30th for all RDCK water systems.
