Stage 2 Water Conservation Measures in Effect for South Slocan Water System
July 27, 2018
Nelson, BC: Effective immediately, mandatory Stage 2 Water Conservation Measures are being implemented in the South Slocan Water System. High water demand has resulted in low reservoir levels, which requires South Slocan Water Users to conserve water.
STAGE 2 WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES include:
- Watering of lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs is ONLY permitted between 6:00am-10:00am and 8:00pm-10:00pm.
- Watering of gardens, trees and shrubs by watering can or hand-held hose is still permitted anytime.
The RDCK appreciates South Slocan water users’ cooperation in adhering to the above water conservation measures. Stage 2 Water Conservation Measures will remain in effect until further notice and stricter water conservation measures may be required if demand increases significantly, or if hot and dry weather prevails.
Water conservation measures for RDCK water systems are shown in the following table. More details are available on the RDCK website at: www.rdck.ca/water.
