June 2, 2016
Stage 1 water conservation measures are in effect for the Town of Creston and all RDCK water systems as we head into the summer months, when outdoor watering activities can increase consumption by up to 200%.
Please observe the following:
• Watering of lawns is permitted ONLY between 7 pm – 10 am
• Watering of gardens, trees and shrubs is ONLY permitted between 7 pm – 10 am
• Watering of gardens, trees and shrubs using drip irrigation, a watering can, and or hand-held hose, which eliminates over-spray, is permitted at any time.
The RDCK and the Town of Creston appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the water conservation measures which are in effect from June 1st to September 30th each year.
Stricter water conservation measures may be implemented in the event of supply or demand concerns.
