Stage 2 Water Conservation Measures in Effect for Lister Water System

The Lister water system is once again experiencing high demand due to the hot weather and lack of rainfall.   Therefore, we are asking all Lister Water System users to conserve water.

Stage 1 Water Conservation measures are in effect from June 1 to September 30 regardless of seasonal weather patterns.   However, due to continuing hot weather and high demand the RDCK Lister Water System is now implementing Stage 2 Water Conservation measures.  We are asking that all Lister water users comply with the following:

  • Watering of lawns only between 6:00am-10:00am.
  • Watering of gardens, trees and shrubs only between 7:00pm-10:00am.
  • Watering of gardens, trees and shrubs by watering can or hand-held hose is still allowed anytime.

The RDCK appreciates your cooperation in adhering to the above water conservation measures.

The RDCK reminds Lister Water users the Lister Water System is limited to residential/domestic use only.  Outdoor watering is limited to one sprinkler for lawn and garden use only (maximum 3.0 US gpm/17 litres per min).

The RDCK Water Rates and Regulations Bylaw 2052 and a detailed description of the water conservation measures is available on our website at
