Playing for Money: Robson Firefighters have a good time raising funds for charity

Nelson—Members of theRobson Volunteer Fire Department flexed their muscles on August 30th and 31st hosting the BC Firefighter Games, which raised $7800 for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
Held at Pass Creek Regional Park, the event was attended by 18 teams from around the province who competed in nine games that tested strength, skill, endurance and teamwork.
“The Robson firefighters did a fantastic job organizing the competition and bringing together members of the fire fighting family and the whole community to raise money for charity,” said Terry Swan, the RDCK’s regional fire chief. “We are proud to recognize the efforts and accomplishments of this department.”
The Robson department hopes to host the event again next year.
