“This booth is the Kootenays,” said John Kettle, Chair of the Regional District of Central Kootenay Board of Directors. “The Kootenays is a state of mind and not just a place.”

The Booth is a unique partnership between the Columbia Power Corporation and the Regional Districts of Central Kootenay, East Kootenay and Kootenay Boundary. This initiative has been lauded for by the Provincial Government for being the only collaborative display that highlights different communities.

“We are one big family and we all work together,” said Kettle. “We are proud of our region and are privileged to be able to share it with the rest of the country.”
